Study in Canada

For students from developing countries like India and Philippines, venturing into the outside world is a brave step, but one that can change your life. You can’t put a price on the experience of studying in a different country with students from different cultures. Universities in developing countries can’t compete with the quality of education you can receive elsewhere around the globe, and your job prospects will soar with an internationally recognized degree.

Until recently, overseas education was considered something for students from wealthy families, and based mainly around the quality of education and gaining culture. Today, study abroad offers so much more. In certain countries, your studies can lead to permanent residence opportunities. With a little help from an experienced professional, students can choose the perfect education pathway leading to a career and residency in a new country.

Canada is one of the hottest destinations for immigrants. This is because of its proximity to the United States, its size, the multicultural environment it offers, and the benefits to residents. Canada is also seen in the world as a neutral country with clout. Immigration agents play a key role in popularizing Canada with countries like India and The Philippines. Canada is a leader when it comes to providing permanent residency opportunities for foreign students through the federal Canadian Experience Class program and several provincial programs.

Other countries to consider include Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as many countries around Europe and in the Caribbean. It’s important to understand the immigration laws and job opportunities in your chosen destination before committing to moving. Permanent residency depends on gaining employment in your skilled profession after study, so it’s crucial that students understand the opportunities in the different regions of Canada, as well as the cultures and geographies. You may want to watch the following 4 videos specially made for students who are seeking to come to Canada. Study in Canada Series 6

Ladies and Gentlemen, Today is the 19th of April, 2018 and Here is an update on the previous 5 videos I had made several years back. This update will give you some interesting realities on the current opportunities. First of all, I would like to address a change in the current Study Permit regulation in Canada. In one of my previous videos, I had mentioned that you must apply for a “Out of Campus” work permit to work when you are a student. This requirement is NO longer there. Current study permit comes with the out of campus work permit and it may be mentioned when it is issued even before you come to Canada that you have limited work authorization as a student. Now let us consider the current reality of Permanent Residence options for Students who study in Canada. These options are based on opportunities that exist at the time of taking this video. 1) Quotas: Quotas has become very important these days. The number of people they take in each category is critical to your chances of becoming a Permanent Resident. Keep in mind that at any given time, there are around 1 million or 10 lakh temporary residents in Canada. The total Quota for Permanent Residence is 3lakh or 300,000 however you want to say it, so everyone will not receive it. But students who keep up with the regulations are likely to benefit because most students are too late to keep up with regulations 2) Sometimes it is much better to study in areas of low population because immigration initiatives are better to such areas. Sometimes Federal and Provincial participation is seen to increase immigration to regions in Canada like Atlantic Canada 3) Approaching work even as a student assists in the right type of work when you obtain your Work Permit after study. This means your chances of Permanent Residence improves. 4) Sometimes the right course could hit the jackpot. This year, 2018, Polinsys has a 14-month course which will allow the student to apply for Provincial Nomination for Permanent Residence immediately after the course without a job. Contact your Polinsys Education specialist for information. 5) Don’t forget to always improve your English. Before applying for Permanent Residence in Canada you must write your IELTS General Exams again. A good score increases your change of Permanent Residence. As regulations changes I will try to update this series, Keep your knowledge about immigration regulation up to date so that you can capitalize on options.
