Canada education series 5, Agent’s Exclusive programs with Canadian Institutions

EditorialNews Leave a Comment

we are going to discuss another important topic on what you should do when it comes to selecting courses and institutions in Canada and also some precautions on what you must know when Agents tell you that they are offering courses that they only have in an institution in Canada. When you go to an Agent, you may come across some of them boasting that they have exclusive programs and you need to be watchful when you grab those “exclusive opportunities”! It is always better to take a Canadian Program because you will be paying tuition fees to the Canadian Institution and not your Agent!

Canada Immigration, Big News for Quebec selection

EditorialNews Leave a Comment

Many people around the world are welcoming the news that Quebec has lowered the pass mark required to obtain a Quebec Selection Certificate and they have removed the adaptability factor from the points based program. The most important consequence of this move is that the adaptability interview is no longer required, although quality control interviews may still be held. This is good news for current applicants, and for those who plan to apply in the next application cycle which is expected before the end of this year.
The move also means that the selection of skilled workers will be more objective and easier for candidates to anticipate.
There are a number of advantages to the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).
No job offer is required
Points are awarded for English or French proficiency, but French is not required
No candidate pool
No invitation to apply required
First come, first served
Points are awarded for your training
Simple online application
Processing times are expected to decrease
No problem if you also apply to the Federal Express Entry program, but only one application will be processed to finalization
The selection factors include:
Education up to 14 points
Area of Training up to 16 points
Validated job offer up to 10 points
Work experience up to 8 points
Age up to 16 points
Language proficiency up to 22 points
Family or stay in Quebec up to 17 points
Accompanying children up to 8 points
Financial self-sufficiency 1 point
While there are points available for French proficiency, candidates are pleased to note that it is not required for this program. If you are well qualified and obtain high points in other areas, you may still be eligible to apply. All applicants must have the intention to reside permanently in Quebec.
Single applicants:
Must score at least 49 points
Married applicants:
Must score at least 57 points
This is a two part process, and once a CSQ has been issued by the government of Quebec, the federal government of Canada conducts medical and security checks.
With the changes to the program, this is an enticing prospect for many potential immigrants looking for a move to Canada. If you would like to have more information, please contact us.

Canada Immigration, Fresh news about Express Entry selections

Express Entry – what’s new?
CIC conducted their 12th draw from the candidate pool on July 10. They issued 1,516 invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada to candidates with a score or 463 or more. The required score has decreased for the third time in a row.
Many candidates are becoming anxious about waiting in the pool, hoping that they will receive a coveted Invitation to Apply. I asked a very senior immigration lawyer about this and he commented to me that in his opinion CIC has faced technical problems in the implementation of the Express Entry file management system. This has slowed implementation of the Express Entry file management system.
It was reported at a recent Canadian Bar Association meeting that only about half the candidates invited to apply actually do apply. This must be worrying for CIC and they need to start to get an idea of the ratio between the number of candidates who receive an Invitation to Apply and the number of visas issued, along with the timing of both.
In order for Canada to meet their immigration targets for 2015, CIC will need to substantially increase the number of candidates drawn and will have to decrease the score required in order to meet their own requirements.
It seems that the first six to twelve months under Express Entry is a time to test the system and see how it works technically. It is a time to see if employers will get on board with the program and to get the job bank section of the process underway. It is also a time for the provinces to get their operations with Express Entry underway.
What can we hope for in the coming months? We can hope for huge numbers of invitations to apply to be issued in starting this autumn. Fingers crossed! What can candidates do to improve their scores? Re-take your language proficiency test to improve your score, gain additional work experience, and have your spouse’s educational credentials assessed for extra points.

Canada Immigration:People who are in the pool as of July 6, 2015 What are their points

EditorialNews Leave a Comment

The above chart shows the Score of candidates in the Express Entry Pool as of July 06, 2015. The chart is indicative of what to expect in the future.
Good day ladies and gentlemen, This is joy Stephen from the Polinsys studios and here is an interesting video on the candidates in the pool as of 6th July. If you analyse this carefully, you can figure out that points may reduce a lot if the pool continues to hold candidates with points reflected in this chart. In the next three picks, if each pick is above 1000 profiles, and considering there is no significant new entrants of applicants with high points, we may see points dip below 449 points. Let us keep our fingers crossed, and good luck to all of you!
